This version of Uncle Vanya was set in a forest of silver birch trees and stumps, bringing early 20th century life to the woods. This set juxtaposed the power of height with elegance.

As scenic communicator for this production, I led a small team through the realisation of Flora’s creative vision. The main element of this process was to produce twelve tree trunks, including one which needed to have branches and leaves.
